Acknowledging his blended whakapapa, Anaru is drawn to his tangata whenua roots in how he shares pūrākau Māori and whiti whiti kōrero.

Embodying principles of Te Whare Tapa Whā, he provides direct experience of how pūrākau are alive in body and Being.

He particularly enjoys how pūrākau of Te Haka a Tāne-rore, Ngā Rū o Rūaumoko, and Ngā Mata o te Ariki Tāwhirimātea reveal our own inner landscape, and how all can translate into active positive expressions of wellness.
